Meet the speakers

Emily Jackson, Business Disability Forum (BDF)

Senior Disability Business Partner

Emily joined BDF in 2015 and has extensive experience advising public and private sector employers on disability best practice, inclusion, and the law.

In her role as Senior Disability Business Partner, Emily works closely with BDF Partner organizations to enable them to achieve their strategic aims on disability inclusion and to adopt leading practice across all areas of the business.

Her key interests are workplace adjustments and supporting businesses to implement robust adjustment processes, barrier-free recruitment, policy making and The Equality Act 2010.

Emily studied Sociology and Politics at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a 2:1 BA Hons in 2011.

Paul Fox, Texthelp

VP & Inclusive Technology Director

Paul works across a number of key sectors including Government, Public Sector, Health, Third sector, Housing and Private Sector SME's. Paul and his team provide assistive software solutions that help support organisations in their diversity, inclusion and accessibility journey.

Prior to joining Texthelp in 2017, Paul spent 20 years with a leading Irish bank where he held positions including Area Manager and Head of Direct Sales & Service. More recently has also worked with the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Having spent a number of years as Volunteer Director and Chair of Stepping Stones NI and with close personal experience of learning disability, Paul has developed a keen interest in accessibility, diversity and inclusion and is passionate about promoting workplace equality and creating opportunity for all. 

Hazel Leighfield, Business Disability Forum (BDF)

Lead Disability Business Partner

Hazel joined BDF in January 2021 following more than 20 years of delivering Recruitment and HR solutions to the Private and Public sectors.  Having been an enthusiastic champion of disability best practice and Vice Chair of a disability network, Hazel now combines her experience of working with and supporting large complex organizations with her expert knowledge of recruitment process, employee value propositions and her passion for disability inclusion. To underpin her professional experience Hazel is currently studying CIPD Level 5 in HR Management.

Hazel is a Prince2 Practitioner and has experience of delivering people and organizational change projects with a keen interest on utilizing data to help shape informed decision making and evidencing impact and outcomes.

Sam Tuckey, EY

UK&I Market Activation Lead, Neuro-Diverse Centre of Excellence

Sam manages the commercial activities at EY’s Neuro-Diverse Centre of Excellence in the UK. His role is to espouse and champion the benefits of neurodiversity to colleagues and clients to help EY towards its goal of building a better working world. 

He has a background in sales and recruitment, where inclusion has always been a key topic to push with his clients.
