Michelle Nielsen
Special Education Technology Coordinator, Alief ISD
Michelle Nielsen serves as the Special Education Technology Coordinator at Alief ISD in Houston, Texas. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Fort Hays State University. Michelle is a distinguished leader in public education with 25 years of experience in special education leadership and assistive technology. Driven by the belief that education is a fundamental right and that technology is a powerful equalizer, Michelle's transformational leadership has led to the successful, strategic execution of numerous assistive technology initiatives. She has developed comprehensive support systems that ensure equal opportunity for positive educational outcomes for all learners.
