Digital Tools in the Math Classroom
22nd October 2018 -As a Google Certified Trainer, I get to visit schools and work with teachers to integrate Google Workspace for Education, Google’s set of collaborative cloud-based tools. I got into this line of work thanks to a Gmail account I set up in 2011 to get lesson feedback from my classes via a Google form. These were my math classes, having taught the subject from 2004 to 2017. My use of digital tools in math came from wanting to move from the practice to the application more efficiently.

31st July 2018 -Math teachers have a lot of worksheets that they’ve compiled over the years. Most are probably handouts that they photocopy year-over-year. Some may have been scanned and converted into PDFs, delivered digitally to students for them to print out or handwrite responses to on a separate piece of paper.
But what if I told you the days of faded photocopies and static PDFs with loose paper responses are a thing of the past? That’s right, you can now type math directly within PDFs thanks to the latest integration between EquatIO for Google and OrbitNote.
